Meet Jenni

With over 7 years of pediatric experience, I am passionate about guiding families and their children through the world of feeding.  I have extensive experience working with children with a broad range of needs, medical conditions and complexities.  For what may come as automatic to some, tasting, chewing, swallowing and incorporating new foods into their diet may be a very daunting process for many.  Mealtimes may be stressful, filled with tantrums, bribing or force feeding, and I am here to help!

I strive to provide customized therapy recommendations that will enhance your child's feeding skills.  But just as important, my therapy recommendations will also support and empower you, as a parent, so that you feel equipped and comfortable carrying out the recommended strategies, in and out of our therapy sessions.

"We started working with Jenni when my son was 18 months old. He would only eat a handful of simple foods and had an aversion to getting his hands sticky and messy. Jenni is patient, positive, warm, kind, and thoughtful.  My son warmed up to her and trusted her immediately.  Even during challenge sessions when our son would be having a difficult time with touching new things, Jenni always remained calm, patient, and supportive.  Jenni took the time to get to know our family, our eating routines, and coached us on how to improve our son’s eating habits. We worked together as a team and saw improvements during each session. During our time together, Jenni worked with us to create a daily meal/snack schedule to stick to, she gave us suggestions for meals and snacks, and she provided sensory activities for us to do as a family during the week to continue our son’s growth.  During our sessions, Jenni was never afraid to get messy and was always incredibly encouraging.  She modeled eating and playing and taught me how to set a good example for my son.

Within a few months of working together, we saw our son transition from being extremely picky to being open to eating a variety of foods.  He can now tolerate having non-preferred foods on his plate and he will quickly sample and try new foods (as opposed to before when he would scream when they touched his plate). Our son now enjoys getting messy with food and paint both at home and at preschool, and has now added several different textures and foods into his diet. We are so impressed with the work Jenni has done with our son and we can’t recommend her services enough!"
